Monsoon Courtyard Luxury Hotel

Getting to and from the airport was very convenient. I had a pleasant stay, with clean rooms and a well-maintained hotel. The service was pleasant too, and I'd recommend staying here.

The hotel had no functioning restaurant, and when the electricity went out the next day there was no generator. I couldn't manage the nine floors of stairs, so I missed lunch after already skipping breakfast. Breakfast in the room was served on one plate, which didn't work for me because of severe dietary restrictions. Despite repeated requests, they gave me food I'm allergic to. We arrived at 5pm with two rooms booked, but got only one at first. They kept saying five more minutes, and the second room took two hours. The hot water didn't work, so we had to wash with freezing water in January. Reception didn't try to fix it despite several calls. The AC was out too, and with no window or ventilation, the room was suffocating all night. Complaints didn't get the problem fixed or a room change. The following night it got so unbearable that we swapped rooms with our kids, whose room had a window that opened for air. The staff saw what was happening and offered no help. I checked out early, before our planned time, and they didn't apologize or compensate us for having to move to another hotel with an international flight the next day.

I spent two weeks at Emerald Dhaka One and had a great stay. The staff were professional and polite, and the room interior looked awesome, a lot like RAMADA. It really felt like a 4-star hotel, one of the best in Uttara Dhaka.

The lobby was a lovely place to spend time, with a nice atmosphere and comfortable sofas. We stayed eight days and enjoyed it. It's centrally located, and I'll book here again next time I'm in Bangladesh. I'd recommend it to anyone coming to Dhaka. We were a family of six, and all the staff were very friendly and helpful, going out of their way for us. My active three-year-old had them dancing to his tune. Our room was big and nice, with good bathroom facilities. Renovations are underway throughout the hotel, including the pool, and it should look more modern when that's done. I'm glad we chose the plan with breakfast, lunch and dinner included. The food was freshly cooked each time and tasted really good. They even made my little one's fried runny egg at both lunch and dinner, which was kind of them.
