Hotel Swiss Garden

I’ve stayed here a couple of times. The wooden floors are lovely, and the staff are well mannered. It’s quiet and peaceful, set away from the main road, with good restaurants and nice shopping malls within walking distance. Check the bathtub and air conditioning before settling into a room, since some need repairs.

A good budget stay, with great food and staff. The outdoor rooftop garden was a favorite, and the wooden floors are nice. They provided a complimentary airport pickup, and I’d definitely stay here again. Everyone on staff speaks enough English to get things done, though they aren’t fluent.

The one real plus is the city location, very close to the airport. Otherwise, I found the restaurant and rooms unclean. The room toilet had an old, yellow, dirty, damaged bathtub, and there was a filthy mattress sitting in the hallway on the way to my room. This doesn’t feel like a four-star hotel. In the Western part of the world, I’d rate it minus one. It’s not suitable for Western guests.

The staff were very helpful, and breakfast buffet was good. There are some nice restaurants nearby, and the area itself is decent. My room smelled musty and was too dark, even with every light on. The hotel restaurant had a decent range, but the dishes were hit or miss. I’d go for the burger or pizza, but not the salads.
