Himachol Resort Sreemangal

Everyone was friendly, and the place was clean. We definitely recommend it. The garden and service were great, and the rooms are large enough, though they need maintenance and the lighting isn’t nice. The restaurant atmosphere could be improved. We think there’s enough room on the upper floors.

The resort has potential, and I’d consider coming back if they address a few issues. We stayed on 15th May 2026. Staff took good care of us, and I appreciated getting checked in relatively early. The evening walks were lovely, especially with someone you love. It felt close to nature, with the “kul kul” sound of a stream just outside the main building. The cottages, or villas, looked nice, the lighting was well done, and breakfast was enjoyable, even if it wasn’t extravagant. Coming in, I did feel a little underwhelmed, particularly if you’re used to a luxury place like The Palace or Grand Sultan, but the resort comes alive at night. The water was yellowish and felt really weird, so we were reluctant to use it, and the pool could have been better maintained. Dinner wasn’t enjoyable. We ordered chicken corn soup and cashew nut salad to keep things light, but the soup was drenched in butter, which seemed unusual for chicken soup. The salad had way too much mayo and sauce, with hardly any nuts or chicken visible. Our balcony had bamboo in place of the glass railing. I’m guessing the glass had broken and they didn’t have enough time to fix it, so I wouldn’t really deduct points for that. The sandals they provided were slippery and rough on the feet.

I stayed in a cottage, and the resort was beautiful and very quiet. The price felt high for what the facilities offered. There was just one wooden chair and no sofa in the room. Since both doors were glass, the lack of door curtains meant outside light came in at night. The cottage was not #accessible, though the office was. They accept cash and Cards.

The peaceful atmosphere and natural surroundings were the best parts of this Sreemangal resort. Rooms were clean, and the staff were courteous. The facilities are basic but comfortable, and the price is good value. Seems well suited to budget travelers and short trips.
