Tea Heaven Resort

The pool was decent, but the rest left my family and me unsatisfied. Rooms and interiors are very basic, and service is limited. The food tasted poor, and the dining rules were hard to deal with: orders had to be placed two hours ahead, and dinner orders stopped completely at 7:30 PM. For the price, I wouldn't recommend this resort.

The bed sheets had stains, the geyser wasn't working, and breakfast was very minimal. The resort is fairly average apart from its swimming pool, which is its main selling point. It's close to the train station, which is handy. Could suit people on a tighter budget.

We found the room clean and comfortable, and Tea Heaven Resort was quiet and peaceful, away from the crowds. Getting around takes planning, though. It's a bit far from the railway station, so we took an auto-rickshaw, usually around 100 BDT each way. There are only a few small grocery shops nearby, and for proper meals you need to go to Station Road. A round trip costs about 200 BDT, though you can try negotiating with the driver. Breakfast is complimentary, but we ate out instead. At Station Road (Panshi), we enjoyed local dishes like Akhni, Nehari, liver, and other items. They were really good. With the location, it helps to sort out transport and food ahead of time.

The rooms seemed a little dated, with some dampness on the walls and linens that didn't feel fresh. Breakfast came with the stay, but there wasn't much variety. It's a decent budget choice, as long as you don't expect a luxury resort. The layout is nice, and the well-kept swimming pool was the highlight for us, great for a dip after a day of sightseeing. Bodhavumi 71 is reachable by CNG. For a better view and less lobby noise, ask for an upper-floor room.
