Jaintia Hill Resort

The view is lovely and it’s a nice place. We were there as professionals and could see a lot of potential for this to become a world-class resort.

The views are amazing, and there’s a lake below that takes a bit of effort to reach, though it’s doable. The rooms had working AC and beds, but the place needs basic attention. It doesn’t take much to clean the floor before guests arrive. There’s rubbish scattered around, as if that’s just normal, and the company could set an example by keeping the area tidy and encouraging guests to use the bins. If the business is making money, it should put some of that back into the property.

A quiet, refreshing place with a really clean, untouched feel. It’s a lovely spot to unwind. Rainy season or winter might be the best time to visit.

The resort has a restaurant, room service, a playground and a front desk open around the clock, so there are family-friendly conveniences. It’s also well placed for the surrounding scenery, with waterfall views and the Himalayan foothills visible from rooms with balconies or patios. Cherrapunji and Dauki Boating Point are nearby, with opportunities to explore Jaintia culture. Jaintia Hill Resort is a three-star property in Gowainghat near Dauki Bridge in Jaflong, Bangladesh. It sits about 4 km from the tea gardens, 5 km from the Indian border and 65 km from Osmani International Airport, amid hills near the Himalayan range.
