The free buffet breakfast at the rooftop restaurant was delicious, and the spotless air-conditioned room had a great city view. La Vista Suites Sylhet balances luxury with affordability well. Its Lamabazar location works nicely for visiting the Shrine of Hazrat Shah Jalal and Zinda Bazar. I’d highly recommend this boutique hotel for business or leisure in Sylhet.

NOT RECOMMENDED unless you want to be harassed. It’s flat-out ridiculous. We said we were a married couple, and they asked for proof of marriage. Who carries a marriage certificate these days? Our wedding photo wasn’t enough, and now management wanted a FAMILY photo. I understand they may need to verify things, but how is that a reasonable way to check whether someone is married? We stayed there once before and showed our wedding photo at reception without any trouble. This time they demanded a family photo. Completely insane.

The breakfast was satisfying, with decent variety and good taste, and getting around from the convenient location was easy. I stayed at La Vista Hotel for two days and had a pleasant stay overall. Room cleaning wasn’t done when I requested it. Staff said I had to be present during cleaning, which was inconvenient and hadn’t been explained beforehand. Better communication and service policies would make this a much stronger option.

For a short stay on a budget, La Vista Hotel does the job. The rates are affordable, and the rooms are clean and functional, though basic. Breakfast is included but the selection is limited, and the view isn’t impressive. Staff are polite, but responsiveness and professionalism could improve. There’s potential for a better stay with improvements to service and amenities.
