Hyllit Hotel

I can't recommend this hotel. The room service was nonexistent, and when things went wrong in the room, nobody helped. The shower barely had any pressure and seemed clogged with limescale. When I asked about it, I was told a technician had checked and found no problem, but they offered no fix. I also asked for help with the TV Chromecast. First they said it wasn't in my room. When I insisted it was, they told me, “Good luck, now no one can help you.” For a four-star place, I'd expect at least courteous, attentive service and some understanding for guests in Antwerp for work who need basic comfort. The pool costs €7 each time and isn't included, which feels like a rip-off. The supposedly included breakfast wasn't worth it either. Better to eat out. This hotel isn't worth the money.

A booking mistake could have put a damper on our stay, but Sarah at the front desk sorted it out for us. She was incredibly helpful and friendly, and made everything feel perfect. We’d definitely recommend the hotel and stay here again next time we're in Antwerp.

For a business night, this worked well. The location is fairly central, and the rooms were clean, quiet, and modernised. Nothing to complain about.

The room was the highlight: spacious, lovely, clean, and fresh-smelling, with everything we needed to be comfortable. The staff, though, felt rather cold and not very guest-focused. The receptionist came across as unapproachable. There was no room service, and when we asked for a dental kit, we were told to collect it ourselves. Asking if someone could bring it seemed to annoy them. We also noticed that, although there appears to be a sauna, there were no bathrobes or slippers in the room, which was inconvenient and surprising. Still, the room itself was very comfortable and made up for quite a bit :)
