The Old Beech

The breakfast was delicious, generous, and luxurious, and the family were lovely and attentive. This family-run B&B is beautiful, with thoughtful details everywhere, even the plates for the tea cups matched the style of the place. The rooms are all unique. The central station is only a couple of tram stops away, and we loved everything about our stay.

You feel like a special guest in this beautiful old house. We loved the room and decor, the spacious bathroom, and the view from the window over the lovely garden and old beech. Absolutely amazing place. We’d be happy to come back.

The Deluxe King Studio was a real highlight, private, spacious, plush, and luxurious. The renovation is stellar, with artistic touches, a gorgeous staircase, an elevator if you need it, and beautifully detailed architecture throughout. The Old Beech is more like a mansion than a house. Inez gave us a personal tour, a chilled bottle of white wine, and tips for a nice itinerary. Breakfast was just as impressive. They’ve owned restaurants and clearly know how to find good ingredients and present them beautifully. We also liked the neighborhood, and Baker Tov is only a five-minute walk away. This is at the top of our list for another visit to Antwerpen.

We loved staying in the quiet “In Between” room at the back of “The Old Beech.” It was lovely to sleep with the windows open and not be disturbed by noise. The neighborhood is beautiful, about a 30- to 40-minute walk from Antwerp’s historic center. The building is elegantly decorated and our room had everything we needed. Breakfast was fantastic, freshly made by the host or owner each morning, and the minibar was included and restocked daily. Even though we arrived late, the welcome was personal and well organized, and there was a thoughtful bottle of wine waiting in the room. Thanks for a wonderful stay. “The Old Beech” is a must-see for anyone visiting Antwerp.
