We felt very welcome thanks to Christine, who was friendly and helpful. The fireplace was already lit when we got there, and there was a bottle of traditional Ardennes beer la Chouffe waiting in the fridge. The weather soon cleared, so we could spend the rest of our stay enjoying the garden, which is just as roomy as it looks in the photo. This traditional house is comfortable, clean, and well equipped. Inside, the living and dining rooms feel homely and are separated by a see-through fireplace. There are three spacious bedrooms upstairs and a bathroom with a fantastic shower. The location near Bastogne is convenient, with easy access from the E25 and a straightforward drive to the attractions, including Luxembourg city. Thanks again, Christine, for letting us stay in your house.

The spacious cottage is in a quiet spot with a huge garden, and the owner's mother welcomed us very warmly. But our main problem wasn't the cottage itself, even though we did notice just one toilet, several padlocked doors, and dirty kitchen utensils. The place has a lot of potential, but the owner's behavior spoiled it for us. After we left, the owner sent an abusive tirade, called us things like "vandals," and threatened us by text while demanding more money. A chair broke during our stay, but we'd reimbursed it, which is what the deposit is for. There was no tour, so ask specifically if that's something you expect. Take care if you book here. I wouldn't want anyone else to come home with that bitter feeling instead of a relaxing end to their holiday.
