Hostellerie Ten Lande

We really appreciated how clean and well kept Hotel Ten Lande was. The decor has a distinctive rustic character, with an American hunting lodge feel, including animal skins, so it may not suit anyone uncomfortable with seeing those. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, making sure we had what we needed. Our bed was very comfortable after a long day, and it was great to be able to stay with our dog. Free parking was a welcome bonus too. A cozy, charming place for a peaceful getaway.

The owner made us feel welcome straight away. I first booked a room for myself and my ex-girlfriend by ringing the bell at the street entrance. He was polite, inviting, and cheerful, and when I asked about booking, he worked out a good price for the few days. It gave me the impression that he cared more about guests than money, which you don't often find at other hotels. We stayed a few times around March to June 2019, and always chose the same room, so I can't comment on the others since they're partly different. Ours was beautifully decorated and faced the street, but was still cozy to sit in and we didn't hear much street noise. The room was well maintained, and the spacious, nicely decorated shower could easily fit two people. Breakfast was beautifully laid out and decorated, and tasted great. The staff clearly run the hotel with passion, and it's an easy place to unwind and de-stress. Highly recommended, which is why I added it to my public list under COZY HOTELS..! Free coffee and tea were available, and the quiet surroundings made it easy to rest. My room was small but comfortable enough for a short visit, with a satisfactory bed that gave me a decent night's sleep. Breakfast was basic, with limited choice and average quality at best. A wider selection and better quality would've been appreciated. It's a simple, unassuming place to stay if you want somewhere quiet and relatively comfortable, as long as you're prepared for a basic breakfast.

I arrived tired and anxious, but left feeling relaxed and refreshed. Bonie, our host, and his lovely Wife, Maya, made Chris and me feel welcome even before we booked. The hotel has wonderful decorations, a relaxed atmosphere, and very accommodating hosts. Breakfast was sumptuous, with plenty of choices for different tastes. The music they play is sublime, and we’ll definitely come by again, even if it’s just for a glass of wine. Parking felt safe and was great, and the hotel is close to the motorway for easy access in either direction.
