The apartment had excellent heating and a great shower, and parking was easy whether you drove yourself or used Uber. The teens were happy with the Wi-Fi. There’s no washing machine, and extras like shampoo and conditioner are limited; kitchen supplies are basic too. It’s just outside Brugge, down the road from ALDI, close to the train station, and about a 20-minute walk from the touristy parts of town.

The Wi-Fi kept dropping out every 30 seconds, and one bedroom shelf in apartment C was loose enough that I didn’t trust it with anything. The bathroom is spacious, but there’s no extractor fan, so a longer shower leaves condensation everywhere. On the plus side, the living area is roomy, with a sofa, chair, and dining table with four chairs. The kitchen has what you need, and there are bed linens and towels. It’s about five minutes on foot to the edge of Bruges city centre, and Aldi is two to three minutes the other way for essentials. The apartment was clean and fresh, and a nice place for a city break.

The hosts were great, and the apartment was clean, with big rooms and a reasonably well-equipped kitchen. It’s well suited to a family of four, and being close to a bus stop makes getting to Brugge city centre easy. I’d suggest providing toiletries in quantities that match the number of adults, so guests don’t need to message the host for more. Overall, excellent location, apartment, and service. Highly recommend it.

Free parking was a real convenience. We stayed in a ground-floor apartment, though, and the experience wasn’t great. After we shut all the windows and went out for a few hours, we came back to a strong sewage smell, probably from the bathroom. The cleanliness also left something to be desired.

The parking is doable, but very tight. There isn’t much room to turn, so getting in and out takes lots of little back-and-forth moves. It felt like being on my driving test again, and there are scrapes on the building corner that suggest other guests may have struggled too. We found it funny, but it takes patience, a sharp eye, and a positive attitude. A smaller car would help. We booked mainly because parking is free, which mattered since we were driving from the UK and parking in old towns can be impossible or expensive. But I liked the apartment so much I’d gladly stay again without a car. It’s spacious, nicely designed, and has high-spec touches, including a smart Samsung TV where you can log into your apps over morning tea. We stayed in Apartment C on the second floor. A is on the ground floor and B on the first. There’s no lift, as expected, and we were fine with the 23 spiral steps since we had no big, heavy cases. If you can’t carry luggage or have mobility issues, Apartment A is the ground-floor option. You can book a specific apartment on their website, unlike through a third-party booking site. The keycode entry was so handy. Nobody had to keep track of a single key or coordinate who had it, so our group could come and go freely. Inside, everything was clean and spacious, with furnishings finished to a high standard. It was mostly IKEA, but not the cheap stuff. The bedding stood out, especially the heavy, good-quality duvet, which made it easy to fall asleep. The welcome book was useful, and we tried some of its restaurant and bar recommendations. It’s about a five-minute walk to the edge of the old town. The centre itself is easy to explore on foot, though you can rack up 10k steps there. We also crossed a swing bridge into town and saw it operating twice. Watching it was fun.
