B&B De Corenbloem

We were genuinely sad to leave after three nights. The host and her sweet dogs made us feel very welcome, and breakfast was a daily highlight, with fresh bread, homemade yoghurt and jams, fruit and juice, all high quality. The secluded garden at the back feels wonderfully peaceful, even though the guest house is just steps from the centre. Our spacious, spotless room was beautifully put together, with lovely toiletries, quality towels and bedding, and a bed so comfortable we didn't want to get up. The photos don't really show how special it is, and it felt like great value. We'd happily come back.

Breakfast, served from 8:30 to 10, was delicious and huge: cheeses, meats, breads, homemade yogurt, juice, fruit, cereal, granola and macarons. They ask each morning if you'd like eggs. Kristien was warm and friendly, and the service was excellent. The Garden Suite was enormous, with big windows looking onto a little garden that was lovely even in winter. The bathtub and the very comfortable bed were huge too. It's only 5-10 minutes from the main square, central but away from the noise, with good restaurants and bars nearby. The old building wasn't a problem for us, and slippers are provided for the wooden floors. I couldn't find a fault and would return again and again.

A lovely, atmospheric place with generous rooms and a beautiful garden. It's close to Markt but tucked on a quiet street, and there's plenty of breakfast. Nothing to fault.

We've stayed here twice, and now can't imagine coming to Brugge without booking this B&B. Jan and Kristien are such welcoming, hospitable hosts. We loved the elegant townhouse, its architecture and decor, and the peaceful garden; it really felt like somewhere special. Our ground-floor apartment had its own courtyard garden and was just a couple of minutes' walk from the centre. Brugge feels like a fairytale. I want to live there!
