Citadines Toison d'Or Brussels

I’m taking off 3 stars because we had no hot water all day. It was freezing. The kitchen was clean and fully equipped, worth an extra star, and the iron and ironing board earn another.

If they give you a room on the 2nd floor, ask for another one. The entire floor smelled like curry and a dirty restaurant kitchen. I had to leave the window open for hours and spray a lot of perfume just so I wouldn’t vomit.

The staff were friendly, and the room was clean, comfortable, and great. Good location too, plus there was a free coffee machine.

We had 4 apartments for 14 of us, and the rooms were spacious and very clean. The beds were comfortable, the towels were clean, and there were no problems at all. The bathrooms had a hairdryer, body wash, shampoo/conditioner, hand wash and cream, plus a pot for your toothbrush. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for ourselves. My kids say it was the best hotel they’ve stayed in, and I definitely recommend it. The location was really nice, on a main road with lots of shops. If you walk out and turn right, then right again, there’s a supermarket called proxy for fruit, vegetables, bakeries, cereals, chocolate, and other basics. They also offer free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, and it was super tasty!
