First Euroflat Hotel

The room was one of the most spacious we’ve stayed in, and it was nice that they provided kitchen equipment on request. This was one of the few places that didn’t ask for a deposit for the stay or the equipment. The location was good, right next to the metro, though you can really feel it rumbling past. That didn’t bother us at bedtime since the trains stop after a certain time. It’s a bit of a walk to the nearest grocery shop, but still okay. Good stay. Not every day you get to be neighbours with the head of the European Commission. When we arrived, the car park was full, with no room even for a motorcycle, so we went to the hotel opposite. They were happy to accommodate us, for a fee of course.

The location is very convenient, right in front of the European Commission. The hotel is basic and the interior quite outdated. Breakfast is basic too, and the venue feels like a student canteen.

I was a little unsure after reading the Google Maps reviews, but my stay was nothing like those bad accounts. The hotel is old, yet very clean, and the huge room was quiet. Staff were kind and helpful, and breakfast was really rich. I think 17 euros is fair for it. The location is very good. There’s street parking in front of the hotel and it’s very cheap. For more secure parking, they have a garage for about 10 cars at 15 euros per day. I stayed 1 night and had a very pleasant experience.

The room had some good points: the bed was roomy and comfortable, the sitting area felt cosy, and the bathroom was decent even if dated. The air conditioning worked really well, and for such a busy neighbourhood the noise was manageable. There were plenty of problems, though. The extraction fan and bedside lights didn’t work, and both the furniture and the building felt old and close to falling apart. We hadn’t been told about the €50 minibar deposit before arriving. The sockets were awkwardly placed, and the kitchenette had only the bare minimum, with little practical equipment.
