Hotel des Galeries

I was nervous after booking a non-refundable stay and then seeing all the mixed reviews, but the hotel turned out to be lovely. We had two twin beds and plenty of room to separate them, with space for our bags on either side. The bathroom was huge, and we always had what we needed. You can hear street noise, so I'd suggest playing white noise on your phone, though it didn't bother me. The location is fantastic: we only needed a train to enter or leave the city, and everything else was close enough to walk to, including lots of restaurants and sights. The galleries next door are gorgeous and a must-stop for chocolates. I'd happily stay again.

We had a spacious apartment in the queen's quarters, and it was wonderfully quiet. Still, for the price, some things should have been better. There was no thermostat, the towels were very thin, and the curtains were cheap, torn in places, and badly fitted. The shower grout had dirt or mold throughout and clearly hadn't been cleaned properly in a while. The location helped make up for those issues. Breakfast was good, though hot, freshly cooked eggs would've been a nice addition.

Rodrigo made my stay feel almost like being at a five-star hotel. He went above and beyond, even booking restaurants he highly recommended, and he also lent me a spare charger. He was extremely helpful the whole time.

The reception staff were the best part of our stay, especially Enzo, who was kind and helpful and gave us great tips. The hotel is right in central Brussels, with everything close by, and our room was spacious and very clean. We had a great experience and will definitely be back!
