It’s a pleasant, not-too-busy neighbourhood with antique shops, galleries, and good restaurants. The Royal Museum of Fine Arts is just a two-minute walk away, and the EU institutions quarter is perhaps 20-25 minutes on foot. Service was attentive, the room was comfortable, and the overall value was good.

The hotel looks nice and was clean, and the staff were polite. Still, the soundproofing made it hard to rest. I could hear neighbours through the thin walls, footsteps overhead, and noise coming along the hall and under the door. I was glad to be offered a late checkout, but staff woke me around noon to check the minibar, which disrupted my sleep and took away much of the benefit. When I asked the front desk about services at the Church of Notre-Dame next door, they had no information, even though it was Christmas. That surprised me given the location and occasion. The location was okay, but didn’t make up for the comfort and service problems. Acceptable, just below what I expected from a four-star hotel.

The hotel sits in a great part of town, with plenty to see nearby, including the weekend antiques market across the road. It’s an easy walk to both avenue Louise uptown and Grand Place downtown, and there’s a secure underground car park. The hotel is attractive, and the room, breakfast, and facilities all worked well for me. Reception was efficient, helpful, and friendly. It ticks all the boxes, and I’d happily recommend it.

The room was spacious, with a Nespresso machine and six pods, a double-headed shower, a closet, and more. The pillows were a bit too high for me personally, though. Breakfast was a real treat. There’s an omelette station that’s a little hidden, and plenty of choices for everyone. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, with great recommendations. The location right by the Grand Place is hard to beat. I also liked the little gift offered for skipping room cleaning.
