The location was a strong point, with a nice coffee shop right across the street and an upscale shopping area about 10 minutes away. I also liked the smooth self check-in and check-out, the friendly lobby bar staff, and the small but well-equipped gym that’s open 24 hours. Breakfast was excellent, with good quality food, great coffee, and fresh juice, though the choices got a bit repetitive. We were there for three nights just after Christmas. The rooms were spacious, with nice furniture and large windows, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The decor looked somewhat dated and worn, though. The heating struggled with the winter cold, especially overnight. The TV channels didn’t work during our stay, even though the smart infotainment system itself did. On the second day, the shower’s hot water pressure became very weak. I told reception, and they said they’d look into it, but I never heard back and nothing was fixed. That was disappointing for a 4-star hotel. It was also the first 4-star place I’ve stayed in without a phone in the room, even though the infotainment system lists internal numbers and phone options. A nice stay in some ways, but the cold room and unresolved maintenance problems let it down.

The bar is a great place to unwind, with comfy sofas, pool tables, and a really relaxed feel. The staff there were especially friendly, and the hotel was very family friendly. Rooms were good quality, and the hotel is near the city centre and on a main tram line. Excellent place, highly recommended.

The lively bar is the best part of Penta Hotel. It has billiards, babyfoot, darts, and screens for watching sports, and the prices are reasonable. It can get pretty loud, though. My room was disappointing, since it didn’t feel very clean and the overall quality wasn’t great.

I used to really like the ground floor bar. It was open to the public as well as hotel guests, with a great club atmosphere. In 2025 they changed what they offered and cut the cocktail list down to a very basic selection, and the bar lost a lot of customers. It’s a boutique hotel with simple but nice decor, comfortable rooms, and OK prices.
