The drainage in the bathtub was blocked, making showers uncomfortable and unhygienic. The room phone didn't work, and even after I reported it several times, it remained unfixed through checkout. Since I couldn't call reception, one of us had to get dressed and go downstairs to ask for help. Staff kept saying they were "busy" while I dealt with the blocked tub and other unresolved problems. I also offered to switch rooms, but was ignored. I emailed the hotel about the tub while I was out and heard nothing all day. When I came back, the tub had been fixed, but the washbasin drain was completely blocked. My wife went downstairs, and the night staff member responded promptly, came up, repaired it, and left. Later that night, water was leaking under the basin. With the phone still out of order, I couldn't reach reception, so I put a towel down to protect the carpet. In the morning, while my child was bathing, I found a starfish-like reptile or creature in the tub. It was disturbing and raised serious hygiene concerns. I attached video evidence. With the leak and unsanitary conditions, I checked out earlier than planned. The morning front desk staff were rude, unresponsive, and dismissive, and the morning front office staff were particularly rude. At one point, a staff member refused to let me fill a water bottle, despite standing by the bar where water was available. It's concerning for a hotel to refuse guests water.

The rooms are a good size and the beds were comfortable, and the location is excellent, only a few minutes' walk from Eurostar station. There was an issue with the heating, but when I brought it up the next day, they moved me to another room without hesitation. Breakfast had a great range of fruit, cereal, hot dishes, breads, and pastries. There's also a small gym on the seventh floor with a few machines and free weights. I'd definitely stay again.

The staff were helpful throughout, especially the woman in charge of breakfast, and Julian sorted out a new reservation after the hotel cancelled the rest of our stay. But losing time to fix that on a short holiday was frustrating, and it never felt like the VIP visit we expected. We arrived Wednesday at 5pm, and Florian did not acknowledge our VIP status. We got no upgrade from the Standard room we booked, and the Green Housekeeping drinks voucher never arrived, even after we reminded Julian. Our room was tiny and very dark, with one small northwest-facing window onto the courtyard by the front door. It got no natural light, and there was no ceiling light, so the bedside lamps were too dim for reading. Around 2am on the first night, an email cancelled the rest of our stay, then the room phone rang while we were asleep. We assume it was the front desk. The next morning we were refused breakfast until Julian sorted it out. The keycards also stopped working in the lift on day two, which was embarrassing. Breakfast is now €25 for bacon, beans, scrambled eggs, a limited fruit selection, a few pastries, and hot and cold drinks. That feels like poor value compared with similarly sized hotels. The TV claimed to have 80 channels, but half did not work and the rest were labelled incorrectly. There were no English-language news channels. Radisson VIP members should pick another hotel in the city.

The price felt fair for Brussels, so we'd consider staying again. We had a large, clean room with a handy little fridge, and the very big bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good and pretty typical for a four-star hotel. The location worked well too: the metro gets you to the centre in about 10 minutes, and the train to the airport takes roughly half an hour. With the window open, though, street noise could be heard at night.

The hotel itself felt safe, and the rooms were great. It's conveniently placed for the station, though the surrounding area felt unsafe. That isn't the hotel's fault, but it's something to plan around.
