I can't imagine what might have happened if we'd woken up to him in the bedroom. I have two young daughters and an elderly mother, and this man had apparently already been inside with us. A few minutes before we noticed him, we heard someone walking through the apartment and assumed they were going to the toilet. Around 9pm, as we were dozing off, my husband saw a large man looking through the gap in our bedroom door. He jumped over me, yelled, and chased him down five flights of stairs, but the man escaped. He would have needed both the building entry code and our apartment code to get in, which seems very dodgy. The place near Louise station was nice and we had the whole floor, but the doors only used combination codes. I briefly worried that there was no key lock, then thought two codes would be enough. He walked straight in. Looking at TripAdvisor now, there are many similar reviews. This looks like a scam.

I stayed in the fifth-floor apartment, which was huge, maybe 200 square metres, and very clean. It had a fresh industrial style that still felt chic and elegant. From inside, you could hear the tram, though it wasn't bothersome. The building sits on a large square, with Gucci, Dior and Ferragamo stores on the ground floor and one apartment on each floor from the first through fifth. The iron-and-wood elevator is pretty interesting, and metro, bus and tram lines are all close by. There are two entry codes, one for the front door and one for the apartment. Once I figured out how to enter them, getting in was fine.

The location is good and it looks nice, but the beds and sofas have bedbugs. It was dirty too, and the accommodation and provider aren't worth it.

The rooms are alright and the view is good, but we got stuck because the elevator, which is almost 150 years old, stopped working while I was there.
