The apartment has been renovated and is quite unusual, but the quality is poor and the owners don’t seem to look after it. The bed was the worst I’ve ever slept in. I had to wedge a pillow under the mattress to make it flat, and you sink right into it. It’s old and should be thrown out. The beds are just awful, so this isn’t a good place if you want to sleep well. On top of that, the floor was dirty, with tobacco on it, there were water stains in the bathroom, and the bathtub was clogged with hair. Disgusting.

The stay was shaping up to be pleasantly ordinary: convenient location, spotless cleanliness, and the amenities I expected. Everything was, honestly, pretty normal. Then there was the front desk receptionist. On June 29, 2025, across the morning and afternoon shifts, she made me feel like an unwanted guest even though I’d paid to stay there. The cold stare, the tone that seemed to say “Why are you talking to me?”, and the general impression that we’d barged into her home made for a pretty miserable interaction. It felt like she just wanted us gone so she could get back to whatever she preferred doing over dealing with guests. She certainly gave the hotel some character. It’s not every day a receptionist makes you question your existence. Bravo. Would I stay again? Sure, but only if I felt like being humbled.

The staff were awful, the bed was uncomfortable, and the heating didn't work. I wouldn't stay there even for free. Avoid it.

The room had a nice view, and the staff were warm and welcoming. We got a good price, which seems to reflect the Gare du Nord area's reputation. It felt a little shady, but we weren't in danger and nobody approached us. A mixed stay, really.

Our Deluxe studio was roomy and clean, and the receptionists were helpful. Even in winter I never felt cold. It’s handy for North Brussels Station and the Flixbus Station, and some Brussels sights are close enough to walk to. I’d recommend it.
