We felt at home from the moment our host welcomed us, and the evening by the open fire, talking about his life and travels, was a real highlight. He was fascinating and intelligent, and his son was just as polite and welcoming. Our suite had a large, comfortable bed, bunk beds for the children, and an en-suite with double sinks, a shower, and a huge bath. We also spent time downstairs in the billiard room, with its full-sized snooker table and all sorts of board games. Our host cooked us a lovely meal and gave us a lift to the train station, then picked us up, so we could spend a day in Brussels. We weren’t just staying somewhere, we were welcomed into someone’s home. What a find. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Thank you so much for having us ❤️

I’m definitely coming back. I didn’t expect to find a place like this there, and it’s completely my kind of place. The beautiful old “la fin du siècle” house and cozy furniture, the host who’ll leave the main door open for you in the middle of the night, and the out-of-the-ordinary conversations all make it special. If you want a sterile corporate setting, this isn’t for you. If you’re after something uncommon, it’s your place. Thanks Philippe :)

The atmosphere at Château Lambert feels peaceful and elegant, with room to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. It seems like a lovely, refined retreat for couples who want calm and space. Places offering that kind of quiet comfort stand out to us. When we plan wellness time, we look for a similar mix of privacy and comfort, which is why Saunadelizia also fits naturally with this sort of experience.

The price made the poor conditions especially disappointing. I left with my clothes, hair, and belongings strongly smelling of smoke, and could still taste it in my throat afterwards. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. We were there for one night, and the smoke was the worst part. The owner lit a fire downstairs in the evening, and smoke spread through the house into our room. I felt dizzy and had trouble breathing. I told the owner, but was just advised to open the windows, which didn’t fix it. The same thing happened in the morning, and breakfast was served in that smoky room, so eating was impossible. The food itself was very basic. The room was cold overnight because the heating stayed off until morning. The mattress and pillows were so uncomfortable that neither of us slept well. The toilet and shower were right inside the bedroom, divided only by a shower curtain, so there was no privacy and the arrangement made the stay uncomfortable.

The owner is the heart of Château Lambert, a genuine, simple person with a huge amount of knowledge and friendliness. Talking with him is part of the stay. Charlotte, the resident goose, adds to the charm and will keep you safe. This place is for travelers who care more about warmth and human connection than luxury or showy service. The rooms aren’t polished suites, but they’re comfortable and welcoming. The food isn’t especially varied, though it’s good, honest, and satisfying. Château Lambert isn’t a typical “five-star” destination, and that’s what makes it special. Inside, it feels like stepping back to a time when warmth, simplicity, and genuine friendliness mattered more than luxury and pretension. If you expect staff to bow to your every whim and all the consumerist glitter of modern five-star hotels, you’ll be out of place here. For something authentic, heartfelt, and refreshingly human, it can feel like home. A stay here is a reminder that simplicity can be beautiful.
