Breakfast was served at the table, with more than we could finish: croissants, petit pains, brioche, fruit loaf, butter, ham, cheese, jam, Nutella and orange juice. The restaurant was closed, but three pleasant places to eat are a 10-15 minute walk away or a short drive. The room was in good order, quiet and had a comfortable bed. Even after a hot day, it cooled reasonably well with the windows open. Bedrooms are upstairs on the first or second floor, reached by a steep staircase, which was fine for us. I’d happily stay here again.

Service was great, and breakfast had everything we needed. It’s an old-fashioned hotel with around 10-12 rooms, plus a pleasant bar and restaurant area that can be extended for weddings and similar events. The renovated rooms have a rustic look, though the queen beds felt too small for two unless you’re in love. A nice place for a break.

The staff were great and the rooms were clean, but the pizzas weren’t cooked through and bottled water was overpriced. There’s no lift, and the first floor felt more like a third floor, with stairs only. The owner lives on the second floor. Unless you’re fit, I wouldn’t recommend it, and it’s definitely unsuitable for wheelchairs or walkers. The rooms were dated, and from the street-facing side we heard traffic all night. There’s no air conditioning, so we slept with the windows ajar and got attacked by mosquitoes. I was there in July 2020.
