The homemade ice cream from their own vending machine is really good. We stayed five nights with our family, and the place worked out great. The owners were friendly and helpful, and the apartment was clean and comfortable, with a kitchen that had enough equipment. We had no trouble with the hot water, despite what some other reviews said. It’s close to the sea and De Haan center. Just be aware that you need to bring your own towels and bed linens. We knew that beforehand, so it wasn’t a problem. A great countryside stay with little kids.

The big playground and giant trampoline were a hit, and there are fun vehicles for children and grown-ups too. Parking is available right on the farm. We had a wonderful family week, with the beach only a 15-minute walk away. It’s beautiful and has lifeguards, and we spent some lovely days there. The mix of a holiday farm and being close to the beach is fantastic. The animals are mostly for looking at rather than petting since they’re shy, but the kids still loved them, especially the little calves and puppy. Our room was spacious and well equipped. The ice cream was delicious, though not cheap. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, but some parts could use renovation. Because the mosquito net was broken, we ended up with lots of mosquitoes and flies. You also have to be okay with the countryside smell, though it depends on the wind and was tolerable for us. De Haan is worth visiting too, with bike rentals and one of Belgium’s prettiest beach promenades.

The countryside views are beautiful, and it’s a peaceful place. There’s plenty to keep children busy, and the owners are kind and helpful.
