Hotel Villa Select

The hotel itself is good, with a beautiful historic building, modern clean rooms, a nice pool and wellness area in the basement, and private underground parking. The rooms are small and overpriced, though. Breakfast ending at 10:00 and the bar closing at 22:00 feel too early, especially in the evening, and changing those hours could bring in more customers. More mood lighting, music, and a proper bartender serving drinks until midnight or 1:00 could do wonders.

The hotel seems fully renovated, with modern rooms that still smell new, and the location right across from the beach is great. It's pet-friendly too. The rest left us very disappointed. Breakfast was horrible and had very few options. Don't expect a hot meal: the eggs and bacon were cold, and everything sat at room temperature, with no heating or refrigeration, which felt risky for our health. Guests had to serve themselves everything, which I found unacceptable for a four-star hotel. We had to squeeze our own orange juice by hand, and the coffee came without a spoon or sugar. They told us to get everything ourselves from the buffet. The pool is advertised online as 29 degrees, but the water felt cold. The sauna is tiny, with room for only two people at most. Wellness hours were very limited: the pool was open until 18h, and the sauna only from 15h to 18h. The reception was always empty, so we had to look around for staff. Sound insulation in the rooms was poor too; we could hear everything from outside and from other rooms.

A really nice hotel, with excellent service, clean and comfortable rooms, and a warm, welcoming feel. It made for a great place to relax and enjoy our stay.

A beautiful hotel right by the beach and seafront. The rooms were decent, the mattresses soft and good, and breakfast was great. Staff were kind, friendly, and always ready to help.
