Restaurant Hotel In den Bonten Os

For the price, I wouldn’t recommend this as a four star hotel. The rooms felt old and could’ve been cleaner, with hairs and stains. There wasn’t an electrical socket in a usable spot, and the bathroom ventilator didn’t work. Construction started early right outside my room. We arrived in the evening and had to spend ten minutes looking for someone to check us in and hand over the keys. I gave the clerk the correct invoicing address, but the invoice I later received was handwritten and unreadable. Good luck getting that approved by your accounting department. Since we were leaving early on the last day, I also asked to remove breakfast from the booking. The clerk couldn’t do that. In the end we got breakfast in the minibar, but only after I suggested several alternatives. I was surprised I had to come up with a solution myself. Some of this might be acceptable at a budget hotel, but not at these room prices. The hotel is in a good location, but I don’t recommend it.

The room stayed quiet and dark at night, and the TV had a good range of cable channels. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. Breakfast was okay, with bread and different toppings, but it lacked the basics: bacon, scrambled eggs, sausages and white beans in tomato sauce.

The rooms were spacious and cozy, and breakfast was really good. Dinner was so-so. We stayed for two nights, used the conference room, and ate breakfast and dinner there. Even though we were the only ones in the whole restaurant, they wouldn’t serve us outside after we’d spent a long day indoors. I also understood the comments about the staff not being talkative. There isn’t much nature nearby, so I wouldn’t choose this place for the location. You need a car to reach walking routes, or have to walk a while along bicycle lanes.

We had a lovely stay at this country hotel. The rooms were large and cozy, with beautiful views, and the cleaning was spotless. The bed was very comfortable, and the service was fantastic. We arrived on Sunday evening, when there’s no front desk service, but they arranged everything for us to check in. They’d even prepared breakfast so we could enjoy it before leaving on Monday, as we had to leave soon.
