We stopped in for lunch at the restaurant, not the hotel, and had a great meal 🤗 A friendly man welcomed us at the bar and got us a table straight away. We ordered vegetarian lasagne, which we didn’t photograph, and a stew with duck, beans, bacon and pork sausage. Both were delicious, though the stew was the standout: the meat was tender and cooked just right, and its broth had a rich umami taste while still feeling light. We also enjoyed the red and white wine with our meals. Would recommend this place! ⭐️❤️

The hotel is upstairs from a restaurant, which gives Le Cerf Vert the charm of a place from a period novel. Our comfortable room, including the bed, looked out over the Meuse, and I thought it was a fantastic deal. Its riverfront position is very central, and I can’t imagine a better location in Dinant. The restaurant menu looked tempting, with some appealing vegetarian choices, but its kitchen hours didn’t work with our meal schedule this time. Breakfast isn’t served at the hotel. I’d suggest walking 5-10 minutes to L'Inattendu, where breakfast was outstanding.

I ordered hot chocolate and vegetarian lasagna. I’d been completely fine before eating, but halfway through the lasagna I was vomiting badly. The food was awful and ruined my birthday, and they still charged me for the dish without even offering not to.

I ate at the restaurant, not at the hotel. The food was very nice, and the service was good too.
