The owners were charming, helpful, and so accommodating. The rooms were spacious and very clean, with all the amenities we needed, plus a mini fridge that kept our special Belgium beer cold. It’s such a quaint hotel in a pretty little town. We would have loved to stay longer. Thanks for making our stay so memorable!

The breakfast was amazing, all fresh and plentiful. There was a can of fresh-brewed coffee just for us, and the croissants seemed to keep coming. Our room was big and well equipped, with a minibar, dresser, coffee maker, table, and king size bed. We had a lovely view of the Topiary park across the river. The bed was comfortable, with both a thick and a thin pillow to choose from. The bathroom was clean and modern, though the shower could use an update. The hotel is quiet and cosy, and the host and hostess were friendly and ready to help right away. Having a car park at the back is a real help in this busy town. You can stop out front for up to 15 minutes when you arrive while you check in and get directions to the car park.

The room was lovely, and the staff were really friendly. Parking at the hotel was a bit of a challenge, but that was the only small issue. We wanted somewhere not too far from Spa for the GP, and this was perfect. We’ll certainly look to stay again.

The free Wi-Fi is strong and connects well. Hôtel la Librairie has chic rooms and a terrace looking out over the River Ourthe, Le Parc des Topiaires, and the castle of Durbuy. There’s no aircon, so ask for a fan in the bedroom if it’s warm. The blinds are dark enough to keep disturbance from the first light to a minimum.
