The location is excellent, a short walk from Dampoort station and the FlixBus stop, with several bus lines nearby. Restaurants and Trappistenhuis are also an easy walk, and Sing Anna church and Kasteellaan are beautiful. The hotel is reasonably priced, with pleasant, neat rooms, a good elevator, and friendly service staff who recognize you after a few visits. Breakfast was good too, with unlimited tasty coffee, sweet breads, granola, and more.

The staff were consistently polite and efficient, and Chrysanthi from the service team deserves a special mention. She was attentive, professional, and ready to help with a smile, which made our stay smoother and more pleasant. Aparthotel Castelnou was comfortable, very clean, and well maintained, with spacious, well-equipped rooms suited to short or longer visits. The whole place felt welcoming and professionally run. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ghent.

We spent three nights at Aparthotel Castelnou and were very happy with it. The area was quiet and easy to get around on foot, and onsite parking was worth the cost. Our apartment was well appointed, with a comfortable mattress and a great shower. The buffet was lovely, with fresh bakery items, yogurt, juices, eggs, bacon, granola, and more. Everything was clean, and the staff were great.

The restaurant was great for lunch and dinner, and breakfast was good too. Staff were very friendly, and both the rate and the quieter, less crowded feel were better than downtown hotels. I was there for a family wedding and appreciated the spacious apartment, with a living room, desk, kitchen equipped for cooking, and separate bedroom. The downside for me at 72 was that the bus to the city centre was a bit too far to walk.

We found it very comfortable and well located. The spacious room had a handy little kitchenette, and the bathroom was well equipped with everything we needed. Breakfast was very good and I’d recommend it. Great value for money.
