The top-floor room in the second building got hotter than I like, but opening the windows was easy and it cooled down quickly. It was a cute room with an unusual design that gave it lots of charm. The location near castle gravensteen was great, with shops, restaurants, and attractions all within walking distance, some just around the corner. We got there by taking a train from the station and then a tram to a nearby stop with a short...

The receptionist was really friendly and shared lots of local suggestions for Gent, as well as nearby cities like Brussels and Brugges. Our room had high ceilings and was very clean. We were happy with our stay, since all the main attractions were within walking distance, including the Christmas market and city centre. The castle is right across the road from the hotel.

I couldn't sleep at all. The first room was extremely small, with big beams right in the middle, and looked nothing like the online photos. When I asked to switch, the second room was even worse. It was outside the main building, with beams, a very high ceiling, and a gap between the bathroom ceiling and the main one. The layout was strange, and it also bore no resemblance to the website pictures. I honestly felt scammed. Definitely avoid.

The location is superb, but this was my second stay and the standards have gone downhill. My room was advertised with a 'City View', but all I saw was a fire escape facing the back of the building. The coffee cups, towels, and bedding were stained when I arrived. It felt like a 1 or 2 star hotel, and the staff weren't friendly either.

We stayed just one night, and our little room had a small window with a lovely view of the castle. It's a cute hotel right in the city centre, and the price was reasonable. I had a great stay with my boyfriend.
