Quartier Leonard

The corridors were pitch dark at night with no lighting, so I had to use a flashlight to get through. The stairs were very steep, and I fell twice on them. We were lucky to have booked just one night. The hotel has potential, but the dirt and neglect were beyond description. The online photos must be from its glory days, or from a time when somebody still cared about the place. The walls were dirty, dust was everywhere, electrical sockets were exposed without covers, and the old, filthy sofas and armchairs were unusable. Worst of all, there were dried blood stains on the mattress. Completely unacceptable and disturbing. It was a terrible experience. The hotel should be closed or urgently inspected by the appropriate authorities.

Fabulous breakfast, and Leonard arranged secure parking with his neighbour. The room was pleasant and the location is great, with the historic, scenic old city just a five minute walk away. I’ll stay here again. The character filled hotel has wood or laminate floors, so sound carries. I’m a light sleeper and needed ear plugs.

The room was spacious and had a lovely artistic theme, a really nice place to stay. It’s in an ideal spot, walkable to the centre while still being quiet. Leonard is responsive and ready to help when needed. Highly recommendable!

The owner seems like a nice guy, and he’s an artist, so you can see some of his personality in the service and decorations. He was quick to help. I spent one night in the Channel thematic room at an affordable price. The service was correct, and it was nice to have wifi, coffee, and tea in the room. The place is really chill and very well located, with restaurants, shops, other places, and the city centre close by. I’d definitely recommend it and would return if I needed to.
