Everything tasted wonderful, and the seasoning was just right. The menu is all fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and every dish was a hit. Warm welcome, excellent value for money. We'd highly recommend this place.

We happened upon this place by chance, but we'll definitely come back deliberately. It has parking, and motorcyclists seem to be welcome. With its past as a coaching inn, the place also has a surprising armory and display room. The owners' daughter greeted us warmly and served us impeccably and in a friendly way. The amuse-bouche got us ready for the meal. My salmon tartare starter was followed by trout for me and lamb for my wife, and all of it was flawless. Crème brûlée and a good white wine made a lovely finish. The owner's wife was very kind as well. The owner came out of the kitchen to explain how he approaches his work, and what he said really inspired confidence. An excellent place to eat.

The breakfast room, with all those old weapons on display, is a pretty unusual setting. Breakfast itself was good, though simple apart from the freshly fried egg. I think it could be even better with jams and yogurt from small local producers. We stayed in the romantic room, which is lovely and has very comfortable bedding. The bathroom is in the room behind a screen, as is the toilet, and that part felt less glamorous for a romantic stay. The staff were attentive, and the hotel was very nice.

Right next to Hamoir NMBS station, this is a great place to stop during a GR route. The themed rooms are beautiful and the price is just right. After 150 years with the Corman family, the hotel has recently been sold. I hope the new owners keep what makes this lovely hotel special.
