The €300 charge after checkout for a little candle wax on the floor felt way out of proportion. And when we checked out, staff came into the room and waited for us to leave, which made us really uncomfortable. We couldn't get online at all. The room was supposed to have Wi-Fi, but none of us could connect, and our request to have it checked got no reply. Yet staff contacted us within fifteen minutes about supposedly illegal parking. There’s no phone signal either, no privacy, and the shops are a long way away. A really disappointing stay. I wouldn’t recommend it, and would keep my money for somewhere else.

There’s a large Carrefour nearby, but the tourist spots in Durbuy or Hotton take a 20-30 minute drive. It’s a less touristy area. What you get at the park depends a lot on the cottage. They’re privately owned, so one might be poorly maintained and full of old junk, while another is perfectly kept by an owner who enjoys it. The shared facilities also seem to suffer from everyone sharing responsibility for their upkeep. The mini golf is in really poor shape, with uneven courses and cheap construction. I wouldn’t recommend it.

It’s completely quiet and dark here, a nice chance to get away from the rush of big cities and reconnect with yourself. GSM, 3G and 4G coverage is almost nonexistent, which makes it ideal for people with electromagnetic hypersensitivity.

There wasn’t any disinfectant, even though it had been promised, so I’m not sure the cottage was disinfected at all. It also wasn’t clean when we arrived, and the pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils were dirty too.
