The staff were extremely friendly, and the hotel felt quietly elegant and comfortable. It’s centrally located, too. I didn’t stay long enough to try the pop-up restaurant in the second building, but it smelled amazing.

Ann made me feel at ease right away. She was attentive without hovering, and the welcome was wonderful. I had a marvellous two-night stay in this authentic, cosy place. The rooms are nicely furnished, with a good shower and a great bed. Breakfast had lovely bread, fruit, quality cheeses, eggs cooked how I wanted, fresh orange juice, coffee, and tea. I can highly recommend the hotel.

The staff were so welcoming and helpful, and gave us great local advice. The hotel is right in central Hasselt, making it easy to explore on foot. Our room was excellent and breakfast was tremendous. I’d absolutely recommend staying here when visiting Hasselt.

A good bed, a quiet street, and calm, clean design made for a relaxing stay. The wooden floors and stairs are gorgeous, and there are some nice design touches. Bardot, a nice wine bar, is just 200m away. The staff were friendly, and breakfast was a quality buffet with eggs on request, good bread, and croissants. My husband did miss having coffee in the room in the morning.

We were a group of 11 in Hasselt for a wedding at Ter Dolen, and the hospitality from Ann and Liesbeth made the stay feel like home despite the challenges of travelling. They were warm and attentive from the moment we arrived. The location was ideal for getting to downtown Hasselt and walking around the charming streets. Rooms were cosy and comfortable, and the showers were incredible after a day out. Breakfast was enjoyable and a delicious start to each day. Hotel Hemelhuys exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommended for a welcoming stay.
