We set off on several motorcycle rides from here, and there’s a bakery and small local supermarket about a 15-minute walk away. The owner was exceptionally friendly and got everything sorted despite the language barrier. We spent four nights in June at a very reasonable price. It’s a beautiful old farmhouse, converted into a modern holiday home four years ago, with lots of room and a very clean interior. I especially appreciated being able to sort our waste properly. Breakfast on the balcony in the morning sun was lovely, and sitting in the sun on the terrace by the front door at the end of the day gave us a real rural feeling. Definitely worth booking for a holiday.

Stand-up paddleboarding at the Nisramont reservoir was fantastic. I’d recommend taking the introductory course, then heading back later in the afternoon to try it without a guide. We slept with the windows open, and while we’d brought mosquito plugs and an electric fly swatter, the insects weren’t too bad. The owners gave us a warm welcome in peaceful Ollomont. The charming cottage has been completely refurnished and has a lovely terrace with a glass dome to keep off the rain. There are two showers and a shed for bikes and other things. A bakery is within walking distance in Nadrin.

The bakery nearby is easy to use, though it’s best to reserve, and there are restaurants close by too. We got a warm welcome and found the location handy for different activities as well as pleasant walks. Everything we needed for an enjoyable stay was close at hand.

The area is lovely and peaceful, and the gite has modern furnishings and a terrace that’s great for relaxing. The caretakers were friendly and live just a few streets away. We’ll definitely come back.
