B&B La Raveline

The place was much more crowded and noisy than we expected, with little privacy or chance to relax. The owner’s description said the apartment could fit six people, but in practice it was only suitable for four, which caused our group a lot of inconvenience and discomfort. The description also felt misleading, and the reality fell well short of what we expected. There was a bar serving alcohol, and many people nearby were drinking heavily. That made the atmosphere less enjoyable. Taken together, the overcrowding, constant noise, lack of transparency and inaccurate capacity description made for a deeply disappointing stay. I can’t recommend it, and I hope the owner takes these concerns seriously and improves things for future guests.

Don’t book here. The host wouldn’t let us in when we were one minute late, and we lost our money. When I suggested a constructive solution over the phone, the host was very unfriendly.

I’ve stayed in more than 50 hotels and B&Bs in Europe, and this was the worst experience I’ve had. The owner refused to let my family check in because we were three minutes late, at 19:03. Before 19:00, I had called the hotel twice, but he didn’t answer. At 19:30, after I emailed him, he promised to refund the money, but then refused to do so. He also told booking.com that we hadn’t shown up. Of all the places I’ve stayed in Europe, this was the worst.

It was a great bed and breakfast. The owner was really nice, and the pool was great too. We also played tennis. The lights looked really cool once it got dark, and the bar was really nice.
