Hotel Central

This is a nice spot for a drink or a beer, but the restaurant food was really poor and the prices were high. It’s hard not to be disappointed. If you have time, find somewhere better.

The location was nice, but that was the only positive for us. We paid 12 euros for a waffle that seemed straight from the supermarket, with more air than dough. The waiters were rushing all over, while customers had to wave to get someone’s attention to order or pay. All in all, a poor experience, especially at those prices.

I only stayed one night in Bruges, and if I’d known how positive the experience would be, I’d definitely have stayed longer. The staff were the friendliest, gentlest, most cheerful and helpful people ever. The location is right in the heart of Grand-Place, and it’s hard to find accommodation this well located at a similar price. What a find!

The food was very poor quality and extremely overpriced, and the room wasn’t pleasant either. Noise carried easily from every direction, so it felt as if the other guests were in the same room. Getting to the hotel also meant walking through the restaurant, which was inconvenient and hadn’t been mentioned anywhere. A terrible stay overall.
