The old town in Brugge felt like stepping into another century. Its monuments are protected by Unesco, and the first sight of them is breathtaking. We also took a boat trip, which I’d recommend for seeing the sights along the canals and hearing the captain explain the history as you pass. With the canals, buildings, and lovely nature, it reminded me of Venice. You really have to experience it yourself, words don’t do it justice. We also loved the forest nearby, with lakes, a castle, walking routes, and a cafe. The neighborhood around Jan Pieter’s cozy place is lovely too, with cute cottage-style homes and beautiful architecture. The accommodation itself was thoughtfully designed, very cozy, and comfortable, with great amenities and lots of information about things to see. We were three people and had plenty of room, including space for all our things. The beds and furniture were comfortable, and the design paid attention to every detail. Since I always woke earlier than the others, I could sit in the separate kitchen and enjoy coffee without disturbing my family while they slept. Jan Pieter was kind, lovely to talk to, and always available to help with what we needed. He clearly wants his guests to enjoy their holidays. We’d love to come back to Jan Pieters cozy place.
