We had no trouble checking in or out, thanks to the very nice receptionist. The site is well kept and in a smart-looking area, with a small war cemetery nearby. Town is only a short walk away, and there are some really good restaurants close by. Highly recommended.

We’ve come back for a second year, renting a basic pitch at Camping Houtum. It’s quiet, green, clean and child-friendly, and the location works perfectly for us. We use it as a base for cycling, with several routes starting right beside the campsite. There are plenty of food options nearby, and things to do like kayaking on the Nete. One of the best campsites we’ve visited.

I’m always curious about campsite facilities, and this one doesn’t disappoint. I haven’t tried the showers yet. You do pay for them, but you buy a card and get the unused balance refunded.

We had an unforgettable weekend cycling, enjoying nature and exploring the area. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, and the campsite is spotless and very quiet. There are lots of amenities and activities, plus places to visit nearby. A beautiful, peaceful campsite in Kasterlee, Belgium. 10 out of 10 stars!

The showers are excellent, and the facilities are cleaned frequently to a really high standard. The owners are lovely and very helpful. This is our third visit, for both quick stops and longer stays, and it’s a great campsite.
