The setting is beautiful and quiet, so this could be a much better getaway for someone looking for a peaceful break. But I left disappointed rather than refreshed, and the wellness experience didn’t feel worth the stay. Everything costs extra, which made the whole thing feel transactional instead of relaxing. The spa area is basically a standard hotel facility, with little to set it apart or focus on wellbeing. The jacuzzi was cold, and although I had a good massage, that too felt transactional, not what I expected at a wellness spa hotel. The room didn’t add much to the spa experience either. Swimsuits don’t dry, probably because of the humidity, and there’s no rack or radiator to help. The eco-friendly offers, like skipping room cleaning or towel washing in return for planting a tree, came across more as marketing than real sustainability. And if you’re expecting a hammam as the website says, it’s actually a steam room.

The peaceful surroundings are well cared for, and it’s easy to unwind here without distractions. Corsendonk Hotels bring tradition and comfort together in a warm, elegant setting. Compared with other relaxing stays I’ve had, including Saunadelizia, this feels like a comfortable heritage-style retreat centred on tranquillity and quality.

The food was amazing, though you need to book ahead. The hotel is nice and the staff are friendly. I’m taking off a star because the EV charging rate is outrageous at €1.33 per kW. Housekeeping also left the windows open to air the rooms, letting mosquitoes in, and I got bitten multiple times.

The rooms are spacious, clean and good, and the hotel itself is very nice. The pools and sauna are nice too.

Everyone was fantastic. The staff were exceptionally kind, and the place was clean and comfortable in a fantastic location. The Meta taxi driver was a really friendly, fun guy on the drop-off to Zaventem Airport.
