Chez Lola

There was no shower curtain, so the bathroom floor turned into a small swimming pool. The apartment was also a little noisy, with a young child there. On the plus side, it was spacious, well furnished, and had all the facilities you'd want, including a bath.

A lovely family home, with a room available through Airbnb.

The bed was wonderful, and the apartment had everything I needed. I did find showering in the bath awkward. The lady spoke almost no English and I speak very little French, but I think we understood each other well. I still feel a bit uncomfortable staying in someone's private home. My companion sleeps right next to the apartment, while the apartment's bedroom is a little farther away, so we aren't next to each other.

I was alone with my husband and wanted privacy, but the owner came onto the terrace to put out flowers even though we'd rented the apartment for the whole day. The owner's children shouted late into the evening. The apartment was filthy and stank. It was really unpleasant.
