Getaway Leuven

The staff were friendly and helpful, and I never had any security concerns. The place is central and feels secure, with enough facilities to make breakfast and lunch. The regular bed was divine, but the pullout was awful, unbelievably uncomfortable. If your room faces the street, bring earplugs. Noise from the bar opposite was unbelievably bad on Saturday night, though Sunday and Monday were fine. The room is good enough for a short stay and well placed in the city centre.

The mattresses really need improvement. Both options in my room were very soft and made for restless nights. The kitchenette was well stocked for a short stay, although some things were hard to reach at my height, around 67 inches. The location was perfect, within walking distance of the train station and city centre. I didn't meet any onsite staff, but the after-hours phone staff were responsive and helpful when I checked in late.

I had paid through 12 January 2026, but was made to leave on 10 January. A male staff member came into my room without permission and moved my belongings. Afterwards, some items were missing. The whole thing was extremely stressful and made me feel unsafe. I wouldn't recommend this place to women travelling alone.

The rooms are spacious, and the kitchen is adequately equipped. There's Wi-Fi and a TV, and the place is right in central Leuven. The heating worked well in winter. Prices seem expensive everywhere in Leuven, but this was good value compared with other hotels. One small downside, the street-facing side can be noisy.
