Smartflats Design - Opera

For a stay in Liege, the place is nicely located and has spacious rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and an okay terrace view. I found the city a bit rundown, though the view was nice in the morning. Towels, soap, bed linen, and toilet paper are provided, and checking in with the door codes was easy and convenient. Keep in mind there’s heating but no air conditioning. In summer, heat gets trapped inside and there’s barely any airflow, even with the windows open, making it hard to sleep. Street noise is very noticeable at night too, so if you’re not used to city life, it may wake you.

The location is great, but the apartment was awful. The room was so dirty that without a TV I might have thought someone had ransacked it. We booked for four people and expected care products, a balcony, a clean room, and a microwave, but none of those necessities were there. After our stay, I was even more disappointed. The place cost 500 euro for 5 days. Instead of returning part of the money, they offered 15% off a future visit, even though we would never stay in these dirty apartments again. I emailed to say I wanted a partial refund, not a discount, and still hadn’t received a reply. I’m not sorry to say they should go to jail. Avoid this place. 09/12/2022

The apartment didn’t match the description, and all my attempts to contact Smartflats went nowhere. We chose this one specifically because it was supposed to have a terrace, but there wasn’t one. For two weeks we’ve been getting the runaround. They apparently have a lot of complaints to handle. It seems they mislead a lot of people and don’t want to take responsibility. Terrible service.

The location was really convenient, with lots of shops and supermarkets nearby. The apartment was fairly spacious, clean, and well equipped for a short stay. I especially liked the light-blocking curtains.
