Hotel Plaza

I arrived and the receptionist was kind. She found my reservation, asked whether I wanted breakfast, then showed me to room 8, or maybe it was number 6. It was tiny, but I thought I could manage for three days. Then I noticed the smell and saw that the room was dirty, with black dots on the sheets. They might have been bed bugs, but I’m not sure, so I won’t accuse them of that. After a shower, I found a huge spider hanging around in the bathroom and got dressed in a hurry. The bathroom door barely opened because the room was so small. The receptionist offered to move me to room 7. It had a wider window and a bathroom door that opened properly, but the sheets were still smelly and dirty, and there was another spider on the ceiling above me. When I told her nothing had really changed, she said it was an economy room. I know what economy rooms are like, and I’m used to hostels and small rooms. That doesn’t excuse keeping rooms dirty or telling guests that bugs and dirt come with the economy option. Keeping rooms clean is the hotel’s job. I left straight away and found another place to stay. When I came back to Hotel Plaza for my bags, a man at reception said I was right to leave and could go. I didn't argue because he seemed upset. It isn’t the guest’s fault that the hotel is dirty and not worth these prices. Before charging €285 for three days, management should look at the rooms and ask themselves whether they would stay there. If the answer is no, they should refund customers who received no service. That's how business works. I couldn't get my money back, and couldn't reach anybody at Booking.com. It’s a shame they have this kind of hotel on their website. A waste of money and time. Don't stay here.

The location was perfect, and I had a wonderful stay. My room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I’d happily stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a great place. Thanks!

It’s a calm place where you can sleep without noise or disturbance. There’s a lovely family feeling, and the food is top notch, fresh and homemade with care. A very good man puts the client’s needs first, and if you need anything, just ask the owner and he’ll make sure you get it. I’ll definitely go back whenever I pass through.

The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable, though they felt a little expensive for what they were. I arrived early and had to wait while my room was cleaned, but they gave me a bigger room than the one I’d booked. The service was very nice. When I had trouble with my credit card and had no cash or car, and it was raining, the owner drove me to the bank. They speak some English and better French. Breakfast cost 12'50€. They made me an omelette, a warm croissant and a chocolate bun, plus orange juice and coffee. The coffee wasn’t great, but the lady was very polite and checked several times that everything was okay or whether I needed anything. It wasn’t the best place I’ve stayed, but it wasn’t bad either.
