I booked a family room because the photos showed a bathtub, and I always choose a room with one so I can soak away travel fatigue at night. It was only my husband and me, so a smaller room would have been fine otherwise. When we arrived, I checked right away and found there was no bathtub. I couldn't accept paying a few dozen euros extra for one that wasn't there. The reception was already closed, so my husband called the hotel. The man who answered was incredibly rude and disrespectful, yelling, “Don't call me for something like that!” My husband answered back, and eventually the man came to our room, furious. He said he'd never had a complaint like this in 40 years in the industry. We had specifically booked a room with a bathtub and simply asked to change rooms. Was that wrong? Why treat us that way? In my 20 years living in Europe, I've never met such a rude Belgian man. Belgium had been a fun trip, but this horrible guy made it a really unpleasant, terrible night.

A spacious, clean and pleasant room, with really friendly people and good service. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. A very good place to spend the night, and a must if you're nearby.

We were driving from the UK to Italy with our family, two adults and two children, and stopped here overnight. Even though we were delayed and arrived late, the staff were very helpful. They contacted me directly to make sure I had everything needed to check in. Our room was very clean, with comfortable beds, plenty of space and a large bathroom. The beer in the fridge was a lovely, welcome treat after the long drive. Breakfast was amazing, with loads of choice and very substantial portions. I wish we could have stayed longer to try the bistro and more of the amazing beer. We'll definitely be back one day :)
