There was plenty to enjoy around this vacation home, from beautiful hikes and a fun day at #BloteVoetenPark to little restaurants and adorable towns nearby. We spent evenings playing boche ball in the backyard and having cocktails on the patio. The e-bikes we rented came in handy, too. Some days we biked in Belgium, with the bike path right behind the back gate; on others, we took the little ferry for $1 into Holland. You can follow AI-guided bike routes by scanning a barcode on a rock just off the ferry, which was really fun. The home itself was amazing, with a perfect location and thoughtful details throughout. Nothing was missing, whether in the well-stocked kitchen or the fitness room, library, TV area, or mancave with a pool table and bar. I'd recommend it to anyone.

The area is fantastic for hiking and biking, with beautiful scenery along the river. A ferry right in front of the vacation home costs 1 euro and takes you to the Netherlands. There are small villages to stop in for food and wine, or you can bring a picnic and sit under the trees watching the hundreds of birds that visit the Maas river daily. You could even bike to Maastricht. New E bikes are available to rent, and they're a great deal. The house is huge by European standards and can easily sleep 10. We enjoyed the backyard table and boche ball field for socializing over local wine and cheese, and there's a surprise man cave in the detached garage. A restaurant and bar are right across the street, so you don't have to worry about drinking and driving. There's great shopping at the nearby outlet mall, with prices that match the US now that the dollar is on par. Visit the “barefoot” park for a sensual treat, and Kotem for music and good food in the evening. There are also WWI historical monuments along the river and a tank pulled from the river to see. The unit has great Wifi if you need to catch up on email or work, though I don't know how you'll find time with so much to do. Book two weeks instead of one. I'll be back soon.

The house was cozy, well kept, and had every comfort. In the evening, we could play billiards in the outbuilding or petanque in the garden. We had a lovely holiday, and the place is ideally located for walks and cycling along the Meuse. Kayaking is nearby as well. We took the ferry to the Netherlands a few times, and it's just 50 meters from the house. The restaurant across the street is definitely worth a visit. Thanks for the warm welcome. We'll definitely be back.

We stayed at Den 118 from September 6 to 12, 2021, and had beautiful weather. We're a family with two young adult children, and enjoyed everything from cycling, with the house at cycle junction 52, and walking along the Grensmaas and at Terhills, to shopping at Maasmechelen Village and nearby supermarkets. We also played ping pong in the garage and pool in the man cave, and watched TV in the cool TV corner. It was pure vacation, highly recommended. The home is beautiful and spacious, with every amenity. We were greeted by a super friendly hostess, and finding a delicious cake in the fridge was fantastic. We felt welcome right from the start.

There's a well-equipped kitchen and nice extras like a pool table and ping pong table. This beautiful house sleeps 6 to 9 people, though two sleep in the attic room with very limited headroom. It's right on the Meuse, with access to the dike through a small gate in the garden.
