Dépendance Maison Géron

The breakfast was absolutely delicious, easily five stars. There’s also a coffee and tea corner on the ground floor and a nice garden out front. We stayed on the attic floor of this modern little hotel at the foot of Ferme Libert street. It’s a huge house with several floors, beautifully decorated and well maintained. Our room had a little living area and an extra bathroom with a bath, all in a modern style and top quality. The bedroom was a good size, and the whole place was calm and quiet. There were lots of doors and some tight spaces, though, so it felt a bit crowded. At 153eur per night, I found it a little expensive, especially as the living area was small and dark and not very usable.

The house is neat and clean, with a lovely English feel, and the breakfast was nice. Our room had a shabby chic look. The owner was polite and friendly, though I felt she could have been a bit warmer and more interested. A nice spot for a short stay.

The owner is funny, helpful and multilingual. The rooms are big and beautifully decorated, the dining room is wonderful, and there's a picturesque garden. The place feels like a fairytale. It's a bit far from Malmedy centre, so you'll need a car to go for dinner in the evening, but the five-minute drive is well worth it.

Families should know that the hotel doesn't accept babies or children. Booking's information is misleading, and finding this out when you arrive is disappointing. They won't make any exceptions.
