Hilton Brussels Grand Place

The hotel is loud both day and night because of its location, though I enjoyed the chocolate in the lobby. Service in the member’s lounge was peaceful and well stocked, and Fee it was attentive and helpful. The rooms were disappointing: hard beds, window treatments that broke daily, no couch in the jr. suites, and a very small shower.

The location is fantastic if you want to be right in the heart of the city. The breakfast buffet was good, with a great selection of food and drinks, and the host greeting us was amazing, she really was ace. I also got a bit obsessed with the waffle maker. The rooms were OK, though our executive room felt spacious but spartan, without the luxury we’ve found at other hotels. We regularly stay at Hiltons in the UK and abroad, and this one sits mid table, to put it mildly. The executive lounge and 'happy hour' were where the stay fell short. The offerings were unbelievably mean, with no diet drinks in the fridges and food that was basically kids’ party food. One poor guy had to manage everything without help and was grumpy as heck. Poor show. They should ask staff at their wembley, gatwick or prague hotels how to improve.

The executive lounge was a highlight of our three nights at the Hilton Grand Palace in Brussels city center. It’s a beautiful, spacious and modern room with comfy seats, lots of natural light and a calm atmosphere that worked well for relaxing or getting some work done. Drinks were available throughout the day, including soft drinks, coffee, tea and water, with wines and beers during the 5-8 PM happy hour. The evening hors d’oeuvres were generous, with good cheeses, charcuterie, little hot bites like mini quiches and sliders, plus fresh salads. On several nights, that was enough for us to skip dinner out. We also loved the free breakfast in the lounge each morning. It was a full hot and cold buffet, with eggs and omelets made to order, fresh pastries, crispy Belgian waffles, fruit, yogurt, cheeses, cold cuts, cereals and really good coffee. The food was kept stocked, refilled quickly, and served by friendly, attentive staff. We preferred starting the day there to dealing with crowds in the main restaurant. Our room was modern, clean and comfortable, with great views, a powerful shower, good lighting and plenty of outlets. The hotel staff were professional and welcoming, and went out of their way to make everything smooth. Julia and Jovelynn were the friendliest staff we met in the lounge. Merci! With lounge access and such a generous breakfast making such a difference, I highly recommend the Grand Horizon. We’ll definitely return.

Breakfast was great, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The bed was super comfortable, the location was very nice, and the host was friendly. We had told the property ahead of time that it was my birthday, and my husband had ordered a cake. It was supposed to be a surprise, but on arrival nobody seemed to know about it. The cake only came later that day, there was nothing else in the room to mark the occasion, and no water had been provided. As a team member reservation, we’d expected a more welcoming reception for a special occasion, especially given the standards we already know.
