Au Clair de Ma Bulle (Adults Only)

The cheese and charcuterie board and breakfast were delicious, all made with local products. We were warmly welcomed, and the stay was a lovely chance to recharge and look up at a starry sky.

The bubble is beautifully decorated, and being out in nature made it a lovely place to unwind. The regional drinks and treats are tasty and can be ordered ahead for an extra charge, though they aren't particularly cheap. Expect insects around, and pack warm clothes for the night: despite the 32 degrees Celsius daytime temperature, it gets quite cool after dark. None of the bubble's solar lights worked. When we asked, we were given a charging cable for one lamp, but at this booking price the lights should have been checked beforehand. Prices are provided in advance and paid in cash on site, but we never received the confirmation text that was promised. Breakfast cost extra too, which didn't feel justified, and we didn't get an omelet.

The bubble is in a house's backyard, looking out over a meadow, so the setting felt fun and unusual. There was indoor heating, but the toilet was in an outdoor hut and the shower was outside, a natural shower. Breakfast was fresh and local, though quite expensive for what it was.

Christophe and Caroline were incredibly welcoming and attentive, and the meal was sumptuous. We spent a night in the bubble and had a dream stay in this unique accommodation, surrounded by a bucolic setting. Thanks again for their hospitality. I highly recommend it.
