Right in the city centre beside Mechelen bus station, with several overnight parking options nearby. Parking is free until 8:10am, and the hotel kindly offered complimentary parking from 8am until our 9am checkout. Breakfast is included for IHG members and guests, and my family especially liked the waffle maker. The rate for three people, including breakfast, was the same as a room with breakfast for one person, and included late checkout until 2pm. That was a fabulous way to sleep in, have a late breakfast and still catch our 6pm ferry to the UK. We saved quite a bit. A nice hotel in a nice place between Brussels, away from the drugs, and Antwerp, with no traffic. It’s two hours from Calais and two hours from the German border via the Netherlands. Close to NATO offices too. The right location for a perfect stay.

Everything was great, especially how kind the staff were. They were lovely with my two kids and very helpful. Breakfast was good too. The room for four was a bit too small, and the parking area is narrow with few spaces, so book ahead.

The staff were really friendly, and it was easy to walk to just about everything we wanted. There’s also a bar that sells some snacks. The room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely soft bed and a good shower and toiletries. It stayed fairly quiet, too. Breakfast choices were a little limited, though it is free. My only small gripe was that there was no fridge or safe in the room.

The welcome at reception was very nice, and the hotel’s right in the center with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. We found the room clean and the bed comfortable. There was an iron and a kettle for tea or coffee. The underground parking is handy, though spaces are limited and the garage is very low. A nice place for a short stay.

The breakfast spread had the usual continental choices and even a waffle maker 😁. It’s about a 5-minute walk to the Grotemarkt and around 20 minutes from the station. A basic hotel, but it has pretty much what you need for a short stay.
