The location is the one redeeming feature. You get a bed with a bad mattress, a roof, and breakfast, then you’re expected to handle everything else yourself, as though they’re doing you a favor by letting you stay. There wasn’t even warm water for a shower. I told reception, and one staff member apologized but didn’t help. Another was outright rude, saying they couldn’t guarantee warm water in my room and that I should use the shared showers. Those didn’t have hot water either. If you can’t provide the basics, you shouldn’t expect so much from guests. It’s clear they don’t respect them.

Breakfast was the best part. It came with the room and was edible, and though there wasn’t much, it was far better than the rest of the place. The room was hot, the beds a bit short, and the mattresses and pillows felt like plastic. Bare concrete walls made it feel like a jail cell. The bathroom faucet was loose, and there was mold on the floor and walls. The city’s one good thing is the hergé museum. I’d visit that and leave right away.

The staff were friendly and had no issue adjusting my stay after I made a mistake. The location is great, too. But the room was a mess: it felt like a prison cell, was dirty, and the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned. The shower floods it. I’d only recommend staying if you don’t plan to spend much time in the room.

The location is ideal, but I stayed for more than a week and there wasn’t frequent cleaning. They didn’t change the sheets, so I used the same one throughout. Breakfast was identical from Monday to Sunday.
